Minimizing Friction between Die and Punch using Ferro Fluids in Pressure Compaction of Metal Powder

Abstract: During the last twenty years powder metallurgy has progressed in many new direction, new types of products have been manufactured and new method of manufacturing have been developed. One of those method is pressure compaction method in which blended powder are pressed into shape in die with the help of punch. So there is some friction between punch and die during this operation. Hence in order to overcome that friction we are using Ferrofluid to prevent the damage occurred due to friction in punch and die.
