IPv6 Performance Analysis Based on Protocol and Tunnel Transition

Abstract: Based on the migration mechanism from IPv4 to IPv6, the performance of three kinds of mechanism options, double-stack protocol, ISATAP tunneling and 6to4 tunneling technique are analyzed and tested. The result shows there are some performance advantages on double stack protocol mechanism IPv6 network than IPv4, IPv6 ISATAP tunnel and IPv6 6to4 tunnel network.
