Abstract: This paper examines the current landscape of parallel and distributed computing, emphasizing recent advances and persistent challenges in the field. Through a literature review, case studies, and a discussion of emerging technologies, the paper aims to provide a detailed analysis of how these computing paradigms are evolving to meet the demands of modern computational tasks and big data processing.
