Assessment of the Level of Perspectives Towards Professional Harms among Surgical Staff at Selected Surgical Words-Saudi Arabia

Abstract: Background The prominence on patient safety in health care, few organizations has evaluated the extent to which safety is a strategic precedence or their culture chains patient safety. In response to the Institute of Medicines report and to an organizational commitment to patient safety, we conducted an efficient assessment of safety. Objective To assess the level of Perspectives towards Professional Harms among Surgical Staff at Selected surgical words, Saudi Arabia. Method A cross-sectional survey was conducted at selected surgical words, Saudi Arabia. Self-administered questionnaire was provided to two hundred surgical staff in the research setting based on their area of their medical specialties to assess the level of perspectives towards Professional Harms among Surgical Staff at Selected surgical words, Saudi Arabia. Results The findings showed that the Perspectives towards Professional Harms among some surgical staff working at selected surgical words was variable. The majority (83.1 %) of the surgical staff had a high level of perspectives towards Professional Harms in relation to Professional Harms in relation to only contact with skin) washing with usual detergent is enough. On the other hand (71.5 %) of the surgical staff had a lowest level of Perspectives towards Professional Harms in relation to Blood spills should be cleaned up at the appointed time with sodium hypochlorite Although, concerning the Intermittent Level of Perspectives the highest level was Perspectives towards Professional Harms in relation to Health care workers with non intact skin should not be involved in direct patient care until the condition resolves (19.2 %). While, regarding the Low Level of Perspectives towards Professional Harms in relation to only contact with skin washing with usual detergent is enough was showed higher rate (14.2 %) Conclusions The current study results revealed that there were high levels of Perspectives among the surgical staff towards Professional Harms within the study setting.
