Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Implementation of the Therapeutic Community Modality Program in the Province of Nueva Ecija: An Assessment

Abstract: (TCMP) by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in the province of Nueva Ecija. It used the Descriptive Survey Method. The study was conducted in selected municipalities, cities, and district jails situated in the Province of Nueva Ecija within Academic Year 2018-2019. Jail personnel and inmate respondents were identified through simple random sampling with the consent of their respective Jail Wardens. Self-prepared and validated questionnaire-checklist was the main gathering supported by interview. Data were statistically treated through weighted mean. The study revealed that Jails in the Province of Nueva Ecija strictly put into practice TCMP activities for the benefit of the inmates; BJMP personnel are fully aware on the activities concerning TCMP and inmates are quite involved in the implementation of TCMP activities; also Jail Personnel-respondents viewed their problems as Slightly Serious only.
