Effectiveness of Planned Teaching Program (PTP) on Breast Cancer among Working Women at Selected Colleges in Haridwar, Uttrakhand
Abstract: A study to assess the effectiveness of planned teaching program (PTP) on breast cancer among working women at selected colleges in Haridwar, Uttrakhand. OBJECTIVES 1. To assess the knowledge of working women regarding breast cancer before and after the administration of planned teaching program.2. To find out the effectiveness of planned teaching program regarding breast cancer.3. To determine the association between pre test knowledge score of working women regarding breast cancer and with their selected demographic variables. . Mean post-test knowledge score (25.27) was higher than mean pre-test knowledge score (15.48) with a mean difference of (9.79). Obtained mean difference was found to be statistically significance as evident from tvalue of (29.098) at 0.05 level of significance. This indicated that the planned teaching program on breast cancer was effective in increasing the knowledge of working women regarding breast cancer at selected colleges of Haridwar Uttrakhand. Obtainedt value in all six content area of knowledge was statistically significance at 0.05 level It indicate that the planned teaching program on breast cancer was effective in increasing the knowledge in all six learning area of working women at selected colleges of Haridwar Uttrakhand.
