These challenges impedes effective and sustainable ways of livelihood in the semi arid regions. Identified challenges included lack of adequate knowledge, institutional frame works, information, and financial. The study established that although small scale had their own climate change adaptation strategies they need financial, institutional, and information support to ensure sustainable climate change adaptive strategies.
