In vitro Shoot Multiplication of Medicinally Important Caralluma stalagmifera Fischer

Abstract: An efficient shoot multiplication protocol was developed for Caralluma stalagmifera Fischer a medicinal plant belonging to the family Asclepiadaceae. Shootlets were regenerated from nodal explants of Caralluma stalagmifera through axillary shoot proliferation. The induction of multiple shoots from nodal segments was the highest in MS medium supplemented with BAP 2.0 mg/l + NAA 0.5 mg/l.
