Secondary Development of Solid works for Standard Components Based on Database
Avitus Titus, Liu Xue Bin
Abstract: This work employs Visual Basic, SolidWorks and Access to develop a database management system for standard components. Two technologies namely coding and parameter design have been used. The database management system for standard components has been built. The secondary development of Solid Works has been performed by Visual Basic 6 and the system is interconnected with SolidWorks. This system has various advantages such as simple operation, auto coding, easy maintenance and greater flexibility. By the use of both SolidWorks and Visual Basic, you can quickly create similar parts library, to improve design efficiency and correctness of great help for the enterprise in product parametric design process. This can also be used as a reference.
