Close Range Photogrammetry using TRIVIM for 3D Modeling
Meenakshi
Abstract: This paper focuses on the generation of 3D street scenarios using a set of 2D image based on the principles of close range photogrammetry. Photogrammetry is the art, science and technology of obtaining reliable information about physical objects and the environment through processes of recording, measuring, and interpreting photographic images, patterns of EMS radiant energy and other phenomena. In this paper 3D modelling has been done using Trivim which is a free open source and R & D application for non-commercial use in training and capacity building for close range photogrammetry developed at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun India. Software would provide a visualization and decision support tool by creating georeferenced, photorealistic models attached with attribute data base for variety of applications.
