Abstract: This study aimed to measure the TNF- level in rat blood serum during wound healing process using collagen membrane. Methods 24 male Wistar rats were divided into two groups treatment and control. A bone defect was created on the rats jaw using a 2 mm diamond bur. The defect was then covered with collagen membrane in the treatment group and without collagen membrane cover in control group. Results the average TNF- level in the treatment group was 209.7 pg/mL while in the control group the level was 487.3 pg/mL. There was a significant difference in the average TNF- level between the treatment and control groups (p= 0.03). Conclusions the use of collagen membrane can reduce the TNF- level in rats wound healing process.
