Rohingya Muslims: Stranger in Motherland
Tanzina Afrose
Abstract: Rohingya crisis is one of the major concerning issues in Bangladesh. The Rohingya crisis was provoked by the fact that according to the Burmese Military Government, the Rohingyas were only Bengalis and they did not deserve to be Burmese citizens. The Rohingyas have become one of the most persecuted communities of Burma, facing severe human rights abuses and massive ill treatments by the military junta. The principle aim of my study is to generate a brief idea about historical background of Rohingya, and how they became stateless, and their causes of refugee movements in Bangladesh. And finally an attempt has been made to show their current situation in Bangladesh.
