Evaluation of the Level of Attentiveness towards Safety Policies among Dental Staff at Selected Dental Clinics-Saudi Arabia

Abstract: Background Attentiveness about policies of safety policies require to be strongly esteemed by all the health care providers, notwithstanding the fact that decisive staff expansion in the eagerness and risks. Universal Precaution is the only approach so that all these infections could be prevented. Inadequate experience of Orthodontic Staff in performing invasive procedures, they are at particular risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens (Chopra, et al. , 2008). Dental staff should have reasonable awareness and performance in relation to adherence to personnel protective equipments. Low & McGeer (2003). Objective To assess the level of attentiveness towards policies among dental staff at selected dental clinics -Saudi Arabia. Method A cross-sectional investigation was conducted selected dental clinics -Saudi Arabia. . A 28item self-administered questionnaire was provided to 100 medical staff in the research setting based on their area of their medical specialties to assess their level of attentiveness towards safety policies among medical staff at selected dental clinics -Saudi Arabia. ResultsIn the region of more two third (80.1 %) of the respondents were had a high level of attentiveness towards the policies of Polices of Safety with statistically significantly difference. While, less than one third of the participants (19.9 %) were not attentiveness towards the policies of safety. Conclusions The current study results revealed that there were a high levels of attentiveness towards the policies of safety among dental staff within the study setting.
