Tatiane Oliveira, Roberto Garcia. Ph.D, Catalina Kaneta Ms

Abstract: Dance has been relevant throughout history, and among the countless issues involved in recording it is its meaningful role in reaching emotions. In this context, movement incentive might enable immersion in the emotions and their display in reality, therefore providing better adaptation resources. By approaching the benefits of such experience, the processes involved in developing new perceptions will be shown, as well as the adaptation and socialization processes. Among the main findings are how meaningful these experiences can be - unique and singular - for the person dancing, in which the sensory elements are identified, named and transformed with new meanings, therefore providing several benefits, such as physical, psychological and socialization ones.
