Dr. Shilpi Sarna, Prof. Shenki Tyagi, Prof. Aniruddha Ghosh
Abstract: This study examines the work life balance and its impact on women position at workplace and also determines the relationship between the various factors of work life balance as independent variable and women position as dependent variables of working women in Delhi NCR. Efforts have been made to develop a model to predict the women’s position in a workplace by taking work life balance constructs such as personal factors, family factors and social factors. The study used cross sectional descriptive research design. To know the relationship and its impact between work life balance and women position factors a structured survey through a questionnaire has been conducted among 150 women working in different organisations through questionnaire in Delhi-NCR. The data was analysed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s product moment correlation and multiple regression. It was explored that work life balance variables like opportunity at workplace for increasing skillsets among employees, stress at workplace and self-space were eminent items which contributed to the score for women position at workplace. However, the authors opine that other eminent factors like decision making ability, personality traits of the women etc. would increase the model fit.
