A Review Article on Pneumonia

Abstract: Pneumonia is a leading cause of death in the world and the sixth most common cause of death in the India. It is the number one cause of death from infectious diseases in the India. Every year in the India, there are from 5-10 million cases of CAP leading to as many as 1.1 million hospitalizations. The word is from Greek (pneúmn) meaning lung”. It is commonly caused by Streptococcus pneumonia. It can spread to others through inhalation of airborne droplets from a sneeze or cough. It can be treated by using some of antibiotics (ampicillin, amoxicillin), antifungal antiviral drugs.
