Emotion based coping and subjective happiness among higher secondary students

Abstract: This study focuses on emotion based coping and subjective happiness among the higher secondary students. A total of 300 students were selected from three different schools in Chennai city. The investigator selected 100 students from Government school, 100 students from Government Aided School and 100 students from Private school. Emotion Based coping inventory by Lazarus, R. S. , and Folkman. S (1984), Subjective Happiness Scale developed by Lyubomirsky, Sonja (2001), was used for the study. Results were statistically analyzed throught test, correlation coefficient. Gender has an impact on emotion based coping and subjective happiness, emotion based coping and subjective happiness are related to each other.
