B. Parimala Devi

Abstract: Women entrepreneurship has been recognized as an important source of economic growth. However, they still represent a minority of all entrepreneurs. Women entrepreneurs often face gender-based barriers to starting and growing their businesses, like discriminatory property, matrimonial and inheritance laws and/or cultural practices, lack of access to formal finance mechanisms limited mobility and access to information and networks, etc. This Paper represents a comparative study of problems faced by the women entrepreneurs in the districts of Kurnool and Ananthapuramuu districts of Andhra Pradesh state in India. The study reveals that there is no significant difference between the various problems faced by the women entrepreneurs in both the districts.
