Prudential Regulation of the Moroccan Insurance Market
Lakhdar Karima
Abstract: This research work seeks to highlight the role of the existence of insurance regulation which in almost all economies, the insurance sector is highly regulated, but the aggravation of risks and the emergence of new risks have prompted almost all developed economies to thoroughly review their regulatory system in terms of insurance solvency supervision by focusing on risk - based regulation. In this sense, the Moroccan regulator has embarked on a new project via the implementation of a new regulatory standard, Solvency based on risk, in order to comply with international requirements in terms of control and regulation of insurance companies and to allow a better identification and control of the various risks that these companies are facing.
