Accelerated Orthodontics: A Systematic Review on Corticotomy and Laser Therapy

Abstract: Background: Concern about the different methods of accelerated orthodontics. Objectives: The aim of this systematic review is to analyse the different methods used to accelerated orthodontic tooth movement (AOTM) Data Source: Electronic database PubMed, Cochrane library, SemOrtho, AJO-DO science direct search (from May 1959 to May 2019) Selection Criteria: Abstracts that appeared to fulfil the initial criteria for accelerated orthodontics were selected. The full-text original articles were then retrieved. Their references were also hand searched. Data Synthesis: 21584 publications were found by database search. A total of 13 publications were included in this review.
