An Explanatory Study to Assess the English Language Adaptation on BSc Fresher Students among Hindi Medium Students in Selected Nursing Colleges at Indore, MP.

Abstract: Title of the study: Adaptation of English language for Hindi medium fresher of BSc nursing students: An explanatory study. Background: Students are the key assets of colleges & universities. The student?s performance plays an important role in producing the best quality graduates who will become great leaders and manpower for the country. Nursing as a healthcare profession is focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so that they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life. There are various reasons for unsatisfactory academic performance among nursing students such as lack of parental guidance, language barrier, academic factors, personal factors, college - related factors, etc. The researcher had chosen the present problem to assess the adaptation of language from Hindi medium students. A nurse must adopt a full - fledged design with a similar usage of language. Eventually, they adopt systemic terms which is not close language. The family economic conditions and facilities of nearby maximum students prefer to educate themselves towards available free education, its effect on their future but, some of the students dare to easily adopt of English language and learn medical vocab. Despite their situations, they shine themselves and are ready to beat the language barrier of academics. Introduction: Nurses work in a large variety of specialties where they work independently and as part of a team to assess the plan, implementation, and evaluation the patient care. A student nurse also has certain responsibilities. A candidate with the right acumen will be able to develop into a knowledgeable professional with the finest set of patient care skills. Studies have shown that better academic performance in junior college may effective criterion that requires the understanding of the language factor that influences academic performance in the initial stage of education. Knowledge about these factors is also paramount in developing strategies for adopting the English language and its further barriers. Aim: The study aimed to explain the adoption of the English language to those who have a Hindi medium background and compare the fresher and 6 months of their academic level of improvement in medical and normal English language. Design: This study used an explanatory study design with MCQs. The multiple ? choice questions were developed to explore the importance of seeking the English language. Settings: Site selection was purposive to ensure representation across the 1st year of BSc nursing from Hindi medium students. Participants: Those came from Hindi medium to do BSc nursing. The study was conducted on 20 sample students of BSc Nursing freshers. It was found that those who have a Hindi medium background students regarding their interest in English language adoption at BSc Nursing Colleges in Indore. Results: The results of the study showed that there was enough adaptation. It demonstrates less excellent and nervousness towards education and fears fullness of their academic success. Overall, for 20 participants. Initially, the adoptive responses were divided into scores as strongly agree, agree, disagree, and strongly disagree. Even language does not impact students further. Conclusion: Fresher students can understand and adopt the English language as part of their exclusive contribution to clinical communication and future opportunities. After 6 months of academic maximum Hindi medium students were aware of language with a basic and advanced language seeking. At the end of the study, the English language does not affect on future.
