Abstract: This research paper investigates the integral connection between environmental sustainability and academic libraries, shedding light on the pivotal role these institutions play in fostering eco-friendly practices. In response to the escalating recognition of the pressing need to address environmental challenges, academic libraries stand at a unique juncture, poised to make significant contributions to sustainability efforts. This paper conducts a thorough exploration of the multifaceted dimensions involved in greening knowledge within academic libraries. These dimensions encompass sustainable infrastructure, resource management, educational initiatives, and community engagement. Through an exhaustive review of existing literature and the analysis of pertinent case studies, the research aims to identify best practices, acknowledge challenges, and propose viable strategies for academic libraries to adopt, thereby contributing to the realization of a more sustainable future.
