Abstract: A green roof, also known as a vegetated roof, is a roof that is covered with plants and soil, rather than traditional roofing materials such as asphalt or concrete. Green roofs have been used for centuries in various forms, and have recently gained popularity due to their numerous benefits for the environment, building owners, and local communities.
