A Study on Economic Empowerment of Women in Tripura Special Reference to West District: A Comparative Analysis

Abstract: Empowerment has been regarded as one of the vital issues for human being. The world is made by both living and non living things. Out of this two category human being has been regarded as one of the important living things in the world. The human civilization has been made by both male as well as by the female. Therefore they must be treated equally. So no need to discrimination amongst them. Because creation of new generation of human being we need the co - operation of both male and female. But since the birth of human civilization women had not been treated equally as like men. Become women had been engaged in the household activities as well as to care the child is the basic duty and responsibility of women in those times. They had been treated as like a slave and now a day?s women are not free from family bondage as well as social bondages. Empowerment of women in twenty first century basically concentrates on overall development of women. As we know all kind of development will be possible if we have scope to control our money and property. The issues of money are link to economic Empowerment of women in India as well as Tripura. The present study will basically concentrate on how a women can be able to empowered themselves through Comparative discussion on Agartala Rural and Urban areas.
