Pelvic Tuberculosis and Infertility: A Case Report
Dr. Afiya Khan, Dr. Maya Arvikar
Abstract: Female pelvic tuberculosis (TB) is a rare disease in developed countries, but it is a frequent cause of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility in other parts of the world. With the emergence of multi-drug resistant strains of TB and HIV/AIDS, TB has become a global epidemic again. Healthcare providers should have a high index of suspicion for pelvic TB when evaluating patients from TB endemic areas for infertility.
