To Evaluate Clinically the Effectiveness of Homoeopathic Medicines in Various Psychiatric Disorders using Kents?s Repertory

Abstract: Mental disorders are a diverse group of brain disorders that primarily affect emotion, higher cognition (thinking) and executive function (ability to solve problems). The boundary between mental and neurological disorders is arbitrary1. In India, mental illness is often followed by denial and hesitation to seek help and these statistics show the burden of Mental disorder in India. At a time when the entire world is down with COVID - 19 pandemic, which has impacted the mental health of millions of people. There is ever increasing levels of Anxiety, Fear, Isolation, Social distancing and emotional distress. This study will show whether the Homoeopathic medicines chosen on the basis of rubrics taken from Kent?s Repertory is helpful in the treatment of psychiatric cases or not. Objective: 1) To study the available material in Homoeopathy for the treatment of Neurosis and other Psychiatric Disorders.2) To find out the effectiveness of Homoeopathic drugs in the treatment of Neurosis and other Psychiatric disorders.3) To identify the most effective potencies and the mode of action of effective drugs. Conclusion: During our Project study in the year 2022 - 2023 on the topic Effectiveness of Homoeopathic drugs in psychiatric Disorders, we noted that there are certain diseases in Psychiatric field where our Homoeopathic medicines worked in an effective way showing mild to marked improvements and in certain sections where no improvement was noted.
