The Underdeveloped Economy of Mayurbhanj
Dr. Biswajita Mohanty
Abstract: The most tribal district in Odisha, Mayurbhanj, is well-known for having a developing economy. The district's population is growing quicker due to a high birth rate and high death rate. The abundant natural resources found in this district are severely strained by this. Poor labor force participation, which is caused by a high female ratio, low literacy rate, a lack of infrastructure, cultural rigidity, and most importantly, the geographic features of the districts, has impeded the much-anticipated development in Mayurbhanj.
