Uncommon Extranodal B-Cell Non-Hodgkin?s Lymphomas

Dr. Jessica Pereira, Dr. Jawahar V, Dr. Sarfaraz Shaikh

Abstract: This study presents two rare cases of extra-nodal B-cell non-Hodgkin?s lymphomas, involving the kidney and ovary, confirmed through histopathology. The first case details a primary renal lymphoma with significant renal enlargement and loss of normal renal structure, while the second case involves primary ovarian Burkitt lymphoma with bilateral ovarian masses and associated ascites. Diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound and contrast-enhanced CT scans, played a crucial role in identifying the lymphomas and differentiating them from other potential diagnoses such as renal cell carcinoma and germ cell tumors. Histopathological and immunohistochemical analyses confirmed the diagnosis, highlighting the importance of accurate imaging and pathological correlation in the management of these rare lymphomas.
