Technology and Equitable Development

Dr. Gurubasavraja Swamy Pandita

Abstract: Technology has emerged as a transformative tool to promote equitable development and foster a more just society. By improving access to education through e - learning platforms and digital resources, technology enhances learning opportunities for marginalized communities. In healthcare, telemedicine and data analytics enable better access to medical services and improved health outcomes. Mobile banking and digital payment systems advance financial inclusion by serving unbanked populations. Transparency and accountability are fostered through open data initiatives and digital governance platforms, empowering citizens to engage in governance processes. Additionally, technology supports sustainable development via renewable energy systems and sustainable agricultural practices. With digital identity systems and accessibility technologies, essential services are made inclusive and accessible to all, including persons with disabilities. Leveraging these innovations ensures reduced disparities, promoting a more equitable and prosperous society.
