Dr. Thirunahari Ugandhar is a distinguished academic and researcher, currently serving as the Head and Associate Professor in the Department of Botany/Biotechnology at the Government Degree College, Mahabubabad. With over two decades of experience in both teaching and research, he has contributed significantly to the fields of plant tissue culture, biotechnology, and molecular biology. His work, particularly in the area of micropropagation and genetic transformation, has earned him recognition in both national and international academic circles.

Dr. Ugandhar has published 87 research papers in prestigious journals and authored six books. His research is focused on agricultural biotechnology, and he has supervised several M.Phil. and Ph.D. students. His commitment to advancing science has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Research Excellence Award 2023 and Telangana State Best Teacher Award 2022.

He has also been an invited speaker and resource person at various national and international conferences, where he shares his expertise on plant science, biodiversity, and biotechnology. His passion for research and teaching continues to inspire many in the scientific community.
