Evaluation of Two Haemorrhoidectomy Techniques: Ferguson's Haemorrhoidectomy and Harmonic Scalpel Haemorrhoidectomy
Abstract: Hemorrhoids are the most common anal disease and many modalities are available for its treatment. In our study, we compared Harmonic scalpel haemorrhoidectomy and Fergusons haemorrhoidectomy. Study conducted on 50 patients with Grade III and Grade IV haemorrhoids. We observed harmonic scalpel procedure has less postoperative pain, less need for analgesic, less operative time and more patient satisfaction. Harmonic scalpel haemorrhoidectomy is safe and easy method for treating hemorrhoids.
