Flood Frequency Analysis in Gelana in Ethiopia
Rabin Selvaraj, Nebiyu Mohammed Bucha
Abstract: The objective of this study was flood frequency analysis in the case of Gelana. The flood frequency analysis result indicates that Performance of the model for both the calibration and validation of the watershed were found to be reasonably good with Nash-Sutcliffe coefficient value of 0.793 and 0.851 respectively. In calibration, the peak discharge that computed at the Outlet is 111.9 m3/s, that of observed peak discharge is 157 m3/s, the peak discharge that computed at the Outlet is 125.2 m3/s, and that of observed peak discharge is 157 m3/s in the case of validation.
